FIVE YEARS OF FRIENDLY NOISE
In March it’s exactly five years since our first record, “Friendly People Making Noise”, was released. We will celebrate this jubilee by a whole bunch of events this Spring. It all seems interesting and fun, we think. For interviews and/or more info contact us first through e-mail: friendlynoise@gmail.com
* In March it’s exactly five years since our first record, “Friendly People Making Noise”! We will celebrate this jubilee by a whole bunch of events:
* First, on Wednesday 5 March, there will be a release party at Allmänna Galleriet for the second issue of film magazine FLM where Friendly Noise again is responsible for the musical content: Sarto will perform live, we will DJ, and videos for “Clouds in transit” by Testbild! and “I look out for you” and “ICA Lappis” by Action Biker will be shown.
* Then, on Thursday 27 March, there’s a Friendly Night at Debaser Slussen, where Testbild!, Most Valuable Players and Differnet will perform live. The same night we hope our two new records will be available for the first time: “Splendid Isolation” (FYN 068), a compilation of a selection of songs from our 2007 mp3 series, and “Hesperian Puisto”, the long-awaited debut album from Action Biker (FYN 069). Don’t miss the Action Biker interview in the new issue of Bon, issue #42.
* And that’s not all, Friendly Noise will also host a club in Stockholm with live music and DJ:s. It will be the first Tuesday every month, beginning in April, at Sugar Bar.
Other news: The three latest Friendly Noise albums are now available via Radio Khartoum’s Friendly Goods which means much much better availability in America from now on. Also, “Day for night” by The Dreamers are now distributed in Japan, through Quince!

LAGA ACTION BIKERS KRONÄRTSKOCKRÖRA!
På Sonics hemsida (food recipy, in Swedish). Food bonus: “ICA Lappis” (if you listen to the lyrics you’ll know what we mean). The video was made in 2005 already, by Wreck Creative Studios, and the song will be on Action Bikers’ forthcoming debut album on Friendly Noise. At Action Bikers’ myspace page you can listen to a remix by another song that will be on the album, Keukengereis’ remix “I Look Out For You”. More: Sarah Nyberg Pergament, aka Action Biker, sings backing vocals on the song “The Strangest Dream” from The Honeydrips´ just released, really good album “Here Comes The Future” (on the Sincerely Yours label). Hanna Fahl and Patrik Lindgren from Kissing Mirrors also contributes to that record.

NEW YEAR, NEW SITE, NEW RELEASES, NEW PEOPLE, NEW IMAGES, NEW…
When we think of the near future, the sense and colour of 2007, the fifth year of Friendly Noise, is brightly optimistic. Our website has a new design by Åsa Samuelsson, and we will be updating this a lot more from now on! We’re starting a new section of mp3 releases, premiered by Differnet and Viktor Sjöberg! In Spring there will be a new CD album by Differnet, called “Collapsing Universe”! Kissing Mirrors have signed a seven album deal with Friendly Noise, a partnership starting with the event of the release of a 7” single of two songs about death, also out some time in Spring! Later this year an Action Biker album will, finally, be released! And there are a lot of other things going on. We’ll let you know.
Most Valuable Players did some concerts together with The Embassy in December and January, both performing their own songs and as The Embassy’s backing band. Katja Ekman reviewed their Svenska Musikkklubben concert for The Jet Set Junta blog, take a look. Now MVP won’t play live for a while, until they have a whole new set of songs.
On November 4, 2006 we had a wonderful Friendly Noise night in Gothenburg at Underjorden/Koloni. Ved, Most Valuable Players, Differnet and Testbild!/Viktor Sjöberg performed their music live. Here’s a film of Viktor Sjöberg playing Testbild! (a brand new song, not available on the “Imagine A House” album!). Shot by Noctos, with Elisabeth Sjökvist guesting on vocals. Fantastic. Friendly Noise heart Viktor Sjöberg.
